As far as I know, that's his
definition of Karma, so it's just another word for that. What you're trying to say is that there's no higher power behind it or something, but if good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people (i don't believe this, by the way) and we choose to call that Karma, then Karma exists. It's just a a word for an idea.
