Well we ended up not taking him to the vet - my mom talked to a different vet (a guy) on the phone and he said:
1. If he's eating on his own, he doesn't need a feeding tube
2. A little bit of vomit isn't something to fret about
3. We should not have him put down
Always get a second opinion!
He seems to be doing so much better. He LOVES these chicken treats that my mom bought him and hasn't thrown anything up since yesterday (I think). He seems back to his normal self except that he's sneezing (vet said to be cautious of pneumonia) and seems kind of weak (stumbling etc.) but he's walking around and playing with shoelaces and trying to eat my fingers and drinking out of the bathtub. I really hope he comes back.
