do you see how you took offense to glice because you assumed that he was talking to you? you expected the offense and took it as such.
the other day, while watching EXXXTREME COP CHASING, they followed one guy until he wrecked his and about 10 other people's cars. in the end, he was in the street, curled into a fetal tazer position. it turns out, the cops were looking for a bankrobber. they weren't even chasing this guy, but when he saw the lights in his mirror, he took off. they caught him; they never got the bankrobber though.
