I'm surprised at how feeble the breeders' arguments are in defence of marriage, by the way. I've flicked through this thread and thought, "Actually, I can't properly defend something I'd quite like to do at some point". Interesting to note, American readers, that every person I know who's emigrated to the States has done so by marriage, predominantly by sham gay marriages. That's not really a comment on the institution of marriage, but it's definitely a comment on the preposterous nature of border control and national identity.
