I read an amazing article in the National Geographic about the vast Redwood forests that contain the oldest and tallest trees on Earth which line the coast of California. A conservationist hiked 700 miles through the forests to collect data and document the state of the forests. It took him a year. It's now an ambition of mine to do a similar trek through the forests.
