This is precisely why as a Youth Minister, I never delve into these topics or try to brainwash the kids behavior. I want them to grow up expressing themselves and their feelings using their faith as a language and vehicle of expression, not the opposite. Worship is an active process, it is a force, it is not a pedagogy or discipline. When I teach kids religion, I am trying to have a discussion with them about their own feelings, their own understandings, not through a bunch of bullshit cultural baggage onto their consciousness.
