my dear, dear friend, that is the most inane thing you have ever suggested. while I don't doubt that people of every political extreme bend social change to push their dogma. however, to deny that social change has influences on the way people in society behave is absolutely ridiculous.

I like working alongside women and having nearly all of my various bosses (and what an insane number that is!) be women. I would hate to live in a workplace where there weren't as many or more women than males (it's significantly more where I work). however, it's not a Republican thing to note that if a woman works 40+ hours a week, the time and attention she has left for childcare is going to be severely impacted.

this is also the case for men, and the best solution would of course to be to have a perfect partnership where the parents can balance all that together and still love and support each other. I tried that, but my wife decided she wanted to party like it's 1999 instead. somehow the parenting partnership is still mostly o.k. though, for now at least.
