why the shotgun? and the shot is only about $1400us. i never have much use for them in live work are you doing some films etc?
I can understand the 414 i prefer the old model pre digital switching of polar pattern and roll off etc. they are beautiful on pianos if you have enough room between the piano and the pa, they are also wonderful overheads. great on choirs, acoustic guits, violins etc.
