potentially, yes, if it's something wrong with the part itself, yes, you could do it yourself. provided you don't zap it with static. antistatic wristband = $2. or, call geek friend.

could be a number of other issues though. i'd first check that the touchpad driver wasn't corrupted by something else-- so reinstall it.

i know you don't understand this. but it makes sense.

hey, why not just act like a cripple and enable mouse keys? one gets used to those pretty quickly.
