I would say they invite you into a tryst via the depravity of their sound, and that tryst is a safe one due to the non-resolution of the player-listener relationship. But thats just me. I know Melvins are definitively crap, but that doesnt take me past liking them. I mean, you cant listen to Ashtray Navigations all day.
