Obviously, this is based on my beleif of what the law says. What it actually turns out to be may be totally different.

The fine is between $750-$2000 (its 2% of income) which is not that drastic.. in reality the fine is simply an opt-out for middle class to wealthy americans, similar to the $300 to get out of the draft during the Civil War
