I always get asked "what's the best place to start for Robe.?" So, I'll go ahead and say...

if you want the jazzier stuff (trombones), try Glacial... which sounds like Bohren Und Der Club of Gore before we had even heard them..
if you want the darker stuff, try Remains of a Burning World (my personal fav.) and Tragedies.
If you want the murkier stuff, try Time Dilation and Bleak.
If you want the most "song-based" stuff, try Did I Not Bid Thee To Arise? and Flesh.
If you want some more straight-forward ambient stuff (with occult influences), try Third Cinder which sounds like a Satanic mass, or Housing Deterioration, which is more in line with field recordings and shit.. the album is made of empty houses and mauseleoms being recorded.. microwaves, refrigerators, etc.. amplified layers and shit..
If you want the more heavily layered and "shoegazey", try Hadramaut and Dying Light.
If you want our weirdest stuff, I'd say Boneraiser, Fractal Dimension Apparitions, and this new one are all pretty fucking weird.

Whoo. THere. I think if you get those albums, you'll be in Robe. Heaven. Haha. Sorry for having so many releases, we kinda were just doing an album whenever a label asked us to, we're a bit more choosey nowadays though.
