tit: when i say it looks like a survivor reality show it's because it LOOKS like that (i.e., the look of the video & the shooting style). i don't mean it "the story resembles," i mean "it appears to the eye".
"and now the tribal council decides who goes home"
it's shot to look like reality tv. it's a huge visual turnoff.
as for the story, i never could make sense of it, and the dialogue was shit, so i was never interested. i had tried getting into "alias" before (from the same writer) because there was a hot looking chick in it, but fuck, the storyline was so dull, her legs be damned.

fucking a. i know some people who work in it.
btw, other good/great american shows of the 00's in random order-- the wire (ok, not so random, best show ever), sopranos, rescue me (season 1 & 2 i've seen so far are fun), the first 2 seasons of weeds (better use of legs than alias), the shield (fucking awesome), arrested development, sons of anarchy (currently on f/x), curb your enthusiasm, west wing up to season 4 (nerdy awesome), firefly (joss whedon rules) + dollhouse (in spite of its precipitous end), large chunks of battlestar galactica (uneven, but ok as a whole), dexter (fucking great), 6 feet under, etc... need to catch deadwood, i've heard good things but never seen it. and a lot more i haven't seen or don't remember.
