The fact that political correctness is not legislated, unless in cases which may be considered libel though that is independent of politics, is more than enough to obliterate this kind of sophomoric, internet-whining. In fact, I really hate it when anyone cites 1984 when describing contemporary politics, regardless of political affiliations. It exposes a pathetically naive understanding of politics that needs to subsume everything into fantastic caricatures of power through use of hyperbole. I identify it with Godwin's law.
