Itīs very hard to me say are these Thurstonīs lyrics clumsy, because english is not my motherīs tongue. But the message of the lyrics is clear to me also - itīs from the real life. I had a friend, who wasnīt a real friend: she just want to play games with me. So I finally made a decision to say her goodbye and eventhough it wasnīt easy, I have since then thought that it was a right decision.
Every musicians are not a poet. Itīs great that some are, but I think itīs most important that the lyrics sound well with the music. Now I donīt remember any english-language song that sounds bad to me eventhough the words can be totally bullshit. But some finnish bands have made lyrics that sound very bad and I canīt listen them. There are also bands in Finland that make lyrics that are totally senseless but they sound well so I donīt pay so much attention to the lyrics. |
