Hi
We're planning a three week MUSICAL holidays in New York (family of three), and we're looking for a good/cheap place to stay, as near as possible of the Knitting Factory or The Union Pool. THAT'S WILLIAMSBURG. Our intention is to attend as many gigs as possible there! And nearby venues too! Would you recommend any appartment, hostel,..., confortable and cheap enough to enjoy three weeks? thanks in advance! Albert |

Looking at it right now. Lots of rentals, you're right. Thanks!
Any specific suggestion is still welcome. |

i couldn't recommend any place in particular (whenever i've stayed in new york it was with friends or either someone else was paying the ho-tel). However-- check the airbnb weekly and monthly rates-- ln some locations, the discounts are huge.

I'd advise checking out the new Silent Barn gigs over the Knitting Factory, they are now basically just a front for booze.
https://sites.google.com/site/paestheticsllc/home/shows Iv'e had friends stay at the White House hostel in Manhattan on Bowery and were happy but not for 3 weeks. Good luck, NYC is expensive and a lot of the cheaper stock is being used by survivors of Hurricane Sandy. I know 2 people who literally lost their homes in this disaster. |
