Dinosaur Jr play Birmingham(uk) academy

Dinosaur Jr are playing the Birmingham Carling Academy on Monday 22nd of May. £16.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woooooohooooooo, i have already got my ticket, but i dont really have any friends who are dino fans so if yr going to go then we could meet up and go together???

I won't be able to see the Birmingham show, but I am seeing Dino Jr. on this tour.

im going to all the shows ive just posted info on, and ive already seen the yeah yeah yeahs i saw them the last time they played the b'ham academy.
ive also already seen the brian jonestown massacre and dino jr and giant drag.

This will be my 1st Dino Jr. show. Although I have seen J.Mascis before. W/ his great solo group, J.Mascis+The Fog.

nice, they are very very very good, i saw them at the carling festival last summer in leeds. this gig will be great especially if i can get people from here to meet up for it.

That's what I'm trying to do as well. I wanna actually meet people from the board at a Dino Jr. concert. It's the perfect setting for something like that.
J.Mascis+The Fog; I saw in a small club where I live, called Blue Cats. It only holds about 300, give or take. & I was right in front of J. first row, G/A. You haven't seen anything if you haven't seen J.Mascis do a fucking kick-ass lead guitar solo live.

oh i agree completely, i went to the carling festival with a big group of friends and not one of them was interested in seeing dinosaur jr so i went down the front and watched them myself whilst they all sat getting drunker and higher.
if i could get some people off thsi board to go it would be awesome as we have alot more in common (musicly) than anyone i know at the moment. we could have sonic youth discussions. oh how nice it would be to have a sonic youth discussion with an actual person, in person.

I've said that outload to myself several times (ha ha) but anyway. It's your friends loss for not wanting to see Dino Jr. I did the same thing @ the J.Mascis show. I took my mother to this show, she's seen some good concerts, Pink Floyd, APC, NIN, but she was so keen on sitting at the bar & having drinks instead of actually listening to the brilliance of J.Mascis. So, I just ditched her & got an upclose view.

Hey, my mom is taking the trip down there w/ me. I can't drive, sad for a 21 year old. I got her the tickets, so she will drive us down there.
