Yeah, the Dems are not that off as being Republicans. I used to be a political Junkie, until I realize ah both sides are horrible.

At some degree they do have to be in the middle. But I they are just as corrupt as well. Just give them time, I mean look what happened in 94 or 92?

Yeah, but it will be hard to let racist fucks get him into office. If they don't like him, what are the chances of Clinton getting elected?

I see what you mean. But I digress in letting that thought into my head. But I truly know that is true. Especially when all your friends from elementary to High school consisted mostly of chicks. I remember bringing down a girl for some odd reason. Yeah you are right, but let's hope the best candidate out of the mediocre candidates come out to victory in the primaries. Oh yeah here in California we get an early vote.

I think that a strong majority of people in this country are opposed to racism. Perhaps there is a large number of "mini-racists" who prefer to hang out with other people of similar ethnic background, crack culturally sensitive jokes when no one's looking, etc. But I don't think that, when it comes down to it, there are enough serious racists out there who wouldn't vote (R) regardless to have any effect on Obama's chance of winning the Presidency. And in other news, If you look at the history of Liberalism vs. Conservatism (back to the days of Napolean) you'll see that anyone who identifies themselves too strongly with one label or the other is probably not too enthused with useless things such as "the will of the people" or "democracy" outside of the ability said things have in helping secure their paychecks *coughHILARYcough*, so I think it's best to stick to canditates who try to reach across, not just party lines, but ideological lines to get things accomplished. And I'm finished. Thanks.

Oh, and on the Bill O'reilly thing, I see his point. I don't care much about illegal immigration, but drunk driving and killing children are another story. If the higher ups in Virginia Beach had the chance to deport this guy when he was arrested for a previous DUI, then I think they should've taken it. Just my opinion.

No, no, no. Dude got arrested for DUI on an earlier date, and the authorities didn't do much about it. They could've deported him but apparently getting rid of a drunk driver quickly, effeciently, and permanently was not on the agenda.

And if they would have, then he wouldn'tve had the chance to do it again (at least not in Virginia Beach). That's O'reillys point on this whole story.

Yr making assumptions about me, Blatherskite, and I don't appreciate it. So the two teenagers wouldn't be killed... I think that would be wonderful. Don't you? Nobody could forsee that someone who was arrested for drunk driving and allowed to walk free might drink and drive again? You may not be able to make judgements on people based on where there from, but you can judge lawmakers and public officials based on whether or not they did their best to uphold the law and protect the citizens of their jurisdiction, which they clearly did not do. If the drunk driver was American, I'd still like to see him deported. That's not legal, though, so we'd have to settle for throwing him in prison. You're right, it makes absolutely no difference where this guy was from. No matter how you cut the cake, the authorities failed to do something about him and now two young people are dead as a result. Tragic, isn't?
