Hey. I've only heard a couple of songs by Yo La Tengo and was wondering what album I should start off with that would be a good intro to the band.

There was a thread about this already but:
I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One Electr-O-Pura Painful Those three are probably their best 90's albums, my favorite anyway.

Man, seems like there have been a thousand of these recommend Yo La Tengo threads. Anyway, I started with I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One and Electr-O-Pura and liked them a lot.

Thanks guys. I probably will end up getting either I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One, or Electr-O-Pura. Sorry about the thread I guess. I searched around in the forum for one like this previously, I guess I didn't search hard enough.
