The intro to 'Damge,Inc.' still remains one of my most treasured musical moments ever.

First 3 albums are fucking great, even though I couldn't admit it to myself at the time.
Post-Justice, it is Dad-Rock to the nth degree. They should really hang it up. Best to avoid reading interviews with them as well, but I still will not deny those first 3 albums. |

I have special affection for 'Master Of Puppets'.I couldn't care less about them as individuals. They bored me then, they bore me even more now.

The title track and Sanitarium are worth the price of admission on their own. I love Battery as well. |

Particularly the fact that it fades in,which makes it even more majestic.

how about the thing that should not be? those riffs are amazing, how menacing it is.
growing up, my favorite was ride the lightning, with the exception of escape, it's a flawless album. and i love the punkness of kill 'em all and the complexity of justice. i've always disliked most of the black album, even when i first bought it and turned me into metallica. |

Again, 'Master Of Puppets ' made complete sense at the time because the climate of both 'harsh' guitar music in America and 'harsh' guitar/punk/hardcore/etc music everywhere needed some sort of mathematical equation thrown into it in order to come back to some sort of reason(hope, you get my drift there). It might have done damage but it generally has done more good than it could have done bad.

master of puppets was kinda like the middle point between, say, kreator or sodom and judas priest or iron maiden.

Honestly, the only song I've ever liked by them is "St. Anger", as shitty as it is.
