Ha ha, 'real jail'. I do agree with you there Cantankerous, the word teen conjures the impression it's just a slight upgrade on being a child, when in reality most teenagers can leagally do exactly what 'adults' do.

The only Smiths album I can even half-way stand nowadays is Louder than Bombs. A very inconsistent and boring band. Strangeways, most of Meat is Murder, and about half of the Queen is Dead outright sucks.
I really like Johnny Marr's inventive guitar textures though. I read that he recorded like 20 guitar tracks per song. On this charming man, if you listen closely, you can hear parts of him randomly throwing a knife at a guitar. |

Also, I have this theory. You know that part in Pulp Fiction where they say you're either an Elvis man or a Beatles man? You can like (or dislike) both but you have to have one clear, definitive favorite amongst the two... and it reveals a lot about the kind of person you are. I think you could say the same things about fans of the Smiths and the Cure. Now, I don't really care for either one. But I much prefer the Smiths over the Cure. You know what that says about me?.....
everything. I just blew your mind. |

You can't love both equally. You have to prefer one. If you were stranded on a desert island or something kind of thing. It reveals who you fucking are, man!
Also, this thread reminds me that I know a fellow who eats Thirst flavor Lifesavers out of his girlfriend's pussy. |

I agree on the Smiths Vs. The Cure.
I slightly prefer the Cure. I mean I enjoy the Smiths and all, but it's been a while since I actually listened to them. I'm going to rectify that right now, taking time out from my banjo lesson.

some women will put up with anything to not be alone.
even a steaming shit in their mouth. I will choose SMITHS over CURE then. They wore less makeup. I really do hold them in equal esteem

Morrissey owns a dog, I think it's a bull terrier, because he's shaped like a turd or something.

gotta be the cure for me... pronography is dark and kind of rules, and disintegration is sad, but it makes me happy. or i listen to disintegration whenever i feel like being in love.

I prefer The Smiths to The Cure.
The Smiths are the only band I listen to who weren't discovered as a result of the Ramones.
