i though the vocals were going to directly mimic the guitar part like a lot of other bands do (sy aren't even exempt from this one) and very sparingly pull it off. instead, there was a bit of a countermelody going on.

oh yeah, definitely. i mean, i don't even try that. sometimes that may happen on a number or two but i always try to keep guitars and vocals two separate things. that's what it should be for our stuff, at least. i don't really consider myself a singer at all.

no worries - thought you mightn't have put two and two together and just saw the word shoegaze and then spacey etc. Thanks, anyway!

damn man, it... it's just fitting - spacey. the intertwining guitars... the echoing trip to another place. that's it really.
it's kinda striking - all of the people coming at our shows are like, "yeah you guys are really noise, really noise" and we don't really perceive ourselves that way at all, i'd say we play some random psyrock... this is kinda intruiguing - are all of them people here totally dumb, or are we naive enough about our shit? so trust me man, i wouldn't throw away some comment, it's just that sometimes what we like traspires thru the notes very well... even if we may think we're far away. weird. |
