I saw this movie yesterday. I enjoyed it very much. I've been reading some online thoughts of this film and people seem pretty split between loving it and hating it. If you come to it knowing Lynch you probobly won't have a problem with it, the film itself is in the vein of "Blue Velvet" and "Muhullond Drive". Is it as good as those films, no. Even fans who have said they've seen every Lynch film has said it was pointless and made no sense, like I have said in previous posts about Lynch, you bring your own interperations to the film. I've have interpeted the film a certain way and while other viewers of the film might disagree with such an anaylsis isn't that the idea of David Lynch? He leaves things open to interpertation. If you see "Inland Empire" not already knowing this you'd probobly won't like the film, just sit back and and enjoy the voyage. I will refrain from giving you any indept things about the film to avoid anything that may be taken as spoilers, I just wanted to post a thread for fans of Lynch and anyone who has or is planning on seeing this film.
