I found my memory card. But I haven't played the game in seven years and basically have no idea what's going on.
I've got the jester girl, lynx, and the little dude, Sprig. Anyone have an idea what I'm supposed to be doing / where I am. About 20 hours in but I play slow. I imagine if I just run around enough it will figure itself it out. But one of the more important plot lines... has my islander main hero dude died? I thought cat man was an enemy. I seem to recall being able to use an item to transport myself. I'm not asking for spoilers, but seven years dudes, long time to vacation from a story. and shit i just forget about knife girl. wow. i'm looking at you atsonicyard best, kloriel |

Well, personally, having gotten to the second disc of this and then just STOPPING... I think this is one of the worst games ever. Of course Trigger is one of the best. This one is terrible; overlong, overeasy, with over 40 shitty and forgettable party members. Oversimplified battle system. Cheesy story. A lot of forced minigames that suck.
Anyway, I'd reccomend going to gamefaqs and asking or checking the Chrono Cross wikipedia. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Even if I'd BEATEN the game, I probably couldn't help you, because the game is kind of a confusing, ridiculous mess. |

Lynx and Serge (the main character) have already switched bodies at this point in the game. If i'm not mistaken -- which is likely since it's been *years* since my last playthrough -- you're not far-off from having to venture past the dead sea to fight FATE. Heh, hope this helps.

wow, that makes sense pop thanks a lot. I forgot about the srge & lynx switch.
if i just got Beavis from viper manor into my party but can't use his boat - is it cool to use the crafty motorboat i already have that i forget where I got? and I can't even figure out how to switch my peeps at the moment. But, yes, pop you are on target. Atsonic: np man, thanks anyway. It is a confusing mess but whereas with trigger you could probably go back and hit every nuance, I like this game BECAUSE you can't hit every option, which in theory makes it unique every time you play it. I can see the frustration, but it is the opposite almost of why I'm not really get into the FF games. but who knows, like i said, i haven't played it for 7 years. mechanics don't bother me much so far. |
