have any of you heard this band? my housemate played me their CD this evening, it's fantastic, a bit like a mix of swans, birthday party, suicide & joy division with kim gordon (early 80s style kim gordon) on vocals.

I noticed them because their singer was topless in an advert for their album in the back of Plan B - always a good way to gain attention.

I had a look at their myspace, and at a few vids on youtube, but I found them a bit weak. I can't say how, they just didn't seem to have the aggression that their "manifesto" suggested they would.

From my knowledge this band relocated from Melbourne to Berlin without ever touring Australia. They sound pretty good but didn't impact me enough to run out and buy their album.

they don't sound like any of the pussy galore i've heard. they're more electronic for a start. that picture is inside their album cover. the stuff on their album is way better than the stuff on their myspace.

they do look uber cool, and when my housemate first showed them to me their coolness put me off, i assumed they'd be some nme band type shit, but they're really good.
