Good call. The best parts are the accounts of all the crazy shit Manson and crew said in court. Pretty graphic at times too.

Charles Manson killed adrug dealer when he was young man. Although he did not actually kill anybody in the days when he ran the Manson Family, he just orchestrated the murders, he IS a murderer.

Yeah, he could play. But he never would have gotten very far.

This is an interesting read as well. I used to read a ton of true crime books.

I'll try to check that one out too
There's so many books that I want to read but I never get the chance to go to the library. I should probably try to go to the one at school sometime

If you can find it, I strongly recommend picking up the LP "The Manson Family Sings Songs Of Charles Manson," released several years ago on LP. Probably floating in the interweb somewhere. It's fantastic; really great apocalyptic folk on par with any cool psych folk of its time. I vastly prefer this stuff to actual Manson recordings; the music is considered, creepy and beautiful and has male and female voices and great lyrical content. Seriously, independently of the "Manson Factor," that LP completely holds up and deserves appreciation.
Looks like it is digitally released too, and maybe expanded: http://www.moviegrooves.com/shop/familyjamsmanson.htm |

Yeah, I seem to recall reading that in one book--was it a black guy? He didn't orchestrate the murders, as far as I can tell...If you look at Beausoleil's murder of Gary Hinman, the Tate murder was exactly the same (things written in blood on the wall, etc.)--it was a "copy cat" murder to throw the authority's off Beausoleil's trail. It's likely that the Manson women were responsible, because they were the ones who knew of the Beausoleil murder and were there to see it.

What does it mean, though? Why does Charles Manson care about the temperature?
