I've been reading "The History of Japanese Free Jazz", which is excellent.
Though sometimes, I fear, it's quite impossible to read with a critcal mind in a foreign language. It's so easy to fall victim to the "Look mom! I'm reading these squiggly lines!" Syndrome that an insurance policy can read like poetry. The joy of deciphering language can so easily be confused with the joy of reading. Or maybe that's just me. |
