What Men want? ...a small peek into men’s fashion this spring.
Fashion is experiencing a revolution like never before. Young designers are fearlessly infusing energetic and vibrant colours into vintage designs. In fact, the urban mans wardrobe has transformed into a palette of colours and galore.

The urban man or metrosexual man is equally conscious about fashion like his opposite gender counter part -women. He is showing a considerable appetite for new trends, new things, new fabrics etc.
Mix ’n’ match experimentation commonly observed in men’s wear is the highlight of his fashion ensemble. The basic idea is to have fun in what you wear i.e. don’t wear dress clothes like dress clothes. You can wear a jacket on jeans or alternatively mix and match it with something more striking. A lot of men are pairing a blazer with a five pocket dress pant or with denim. In fact men are wearing blazers to bars with jeans. It is not at all uncommon today to mix or pair a causal dress with a formal one.

The patterns and colors in men’s shirt too are experiencing a colorful change. Their standard white and blue dress shirt has been replaced by really bright pin-striped shirts. They no longer want to express themselves just in ties. Although they still wear it, but more and more men are shedding their ties and are experimenting with colorful pocket square. The square pocket gives them a more expressive statement than what could be possible with a tie. This does not mean that ties have gone out of fashion. In fact, they are still used to prim-up suits and bring out that neat personality. But the colour of ties has undergone a great reformation. It has now been replaced by more colorful and zestful ones. His traditional gray and black socks too have become history. The current trend is bright colors that add to complete conservative look.

The last spring saw a deluge of colors leading to excessive saturation. This spring, though colours will be a significant highlight, but will not be as colorful as last year. Green could be the highlight this year, followed by pale yellow, pink and lavender.

Vintage designs seem to be making a comeback. A classy English styling, trimmer silhouette with an Italian fitting is returning in to vogue.

The entire mood looks eruptive. There is no longer an apprehension to experiment and fuse new ideas and designs. The receptiveness to these innovations is at its best. So be innovative and original, If you are comfortable wearing it and to bee seen with it; don’t worry, you are in tune with the current trends.
