PAnzkerdrop fans have probably seen this already, but I just viewed it for the first time and it really is fucking brilliant. The Panzkerdrops are doing art punk better than anyone these days, and this video totally fits thier aesthetic. Out of all the bands doing noisy post-punk these days, I believe Teenage Panzkerdrops are the only band holding a candle to the original bands like PiL, Wire, Swell Maps, the Homosexuals, etc...

yeah, it's a great video. one thing that amazes me about this band is that they only get together to play once or twice a year, but they still manage to come up with such fantastic music

really? it sounded not that great to me. maybe it was ok, but to compare that with Wire?

Well think of it like this, as amazing as Wire was, they really only had three indispensable classic albums. Der TPK has two fatastic records already and theyve only been around for few years and are really just getting started. Just because one band is classic and the other is new doesn't mean that the music is comparable. I just meant to use those bands as a reference point for the noisy and off-kilter post-punk stylings that der TPK is revitalizing.
