Recommend some acoustic guitar music

So, lately I've been listening to lots of acoustic guitar musicians, singer songwriter stuff.
I really enjoy:
Steve Gunn, Jack Rose, Fahey, Leo Kottke, Basho, Tetuzi Akiyama, Derek Bailey

also singer songwriter/folk suff:
Townes Van Zandt, Bernt Jansch, Simon Finn....

Some banjo recommendations would be great too
Sandy Bull, etc

I'm sure there already is a thread for this kind of stuff but I couldn't find it.

Favorite folk artist ever is probably Japanese acid-folk genius Kazuki Tomokawa.

Plenty of blogs, like Grown So Ugly, are dedicated pretty much exclusively to stuff like this, check em out. Lots of great stuff out there.

Best way to find threads for acoustic guitar music -- on any forum, really -- is to search for the word "Fahey". I highly reccomend going to his last.fm and checking out the similiar artists, that's how I found everything I just mentioned, pretty much.

Will check out the ones I didn't know.

With Fahey, it's quite interesting how influential he was for the acoustic steel string guitar in popular music. I mean, he's all over the place.

My favourite "folk" album is probably Simon Finn - Pass the Distance, but i am not sure, there are so many great records it's hard to choose.
