Does anyone know any good software for designing 3d objects made of wood? I'm tired of drawing simple 1d pictures and having to assemble everything in my mind. |

AutoCAD, 3Dmax. There are also simpler and cheaper programs out there.
The material of the object you make is irrelevant, because you apply skins later.

This is a little more affordable than AutoCad. Also, here is another modeling program to look at. http://formz.com/Home.html Sorry, if they are architecturally based. That is the best I can do b/c that what my profession uses.
