on the Stone calendar
3/29 Saturday (RK) 8 and 10 pm White Out with Thurston Moore Tom Surgal (percussion) Lin Culbertson (electronics) Thurston Moore (guitar) Long-time co-conspirators White Out and Moore reunite for an evening of outside agitation. I fully expect that this will be fantastic, White Out are a fucking great combo, they are also playing a $5 show this friday. (also at the stone). http://www.myspace.com/whiteoutnyc |

If only there were some way to weed out the people who still think they're gonna get Goo at a side project gig. I get real tired of the eggheads who start yelling "I'm bored!" or "Play a song" in the middle of an intense jam.
Yeah I'm looking at most of you. friday is a tough night, I'm pretty sure I'll be at the Stone, but Daniel Carter is playing at Issue Proeject Room and Steve Swells band Slammin the Infinite w/Heyner and Mateen play the LIving Theater they were fantastic last year there... |

hang out at 100 gigs a year with the little dipshit assholes america is breeding like I have to and you'll feel the same way. then again, probably not, you guys seem to have a high threshold to people walking all over you. hate what deserves your hate or it will destroy you. My superiority is very complex. |

Caught the White Out set Friday, they played with Nate Wooley who does this processed trumpet thing, I found to be somewhat harsh, not friendly noise...surprising crowd turnout.

The funniest part was when Tom asked Nate if he had any gigs lined up, Nate said he couldn't think of any? or something like that. yet when you look at his calendar... http://www.myspace.com/woundedstoryteller
btw- out of those gigs, March 18 at Knitting looks real fucking good, Darius Jones kills on the sax if you never seen him. edit- and oh, Ryan Sawyer(Tall Firs) on the drums, |
