Hi,
I thought the Forum show was probably the best I've seen SY for ages and one of the reasons was the amazing stage show with the lights and everything. I saw YYYs on Tuesday just gone and their show was similarly amazing which has led me to try to find out who's behind this sort of thing. So if anyone has contact details/websites/blogs whatever with information about this I'd be really interested. Or maybe Sonic Youth work these things out themselves? TIA |

...Yeah they are definitely Kim's artwork's onstage during their current touring schedule.
Don't know who does the lighting design.

If you mean those sort of "burnt canvas" pieces I'm pretty sure those are not Kim's works, I think on the news page (here or on some matador's blog or something) they said whose pieces are those...
Seems like I'm not able to dig the detailed infos out at the moment (googlin' didn't help ).... Obviously I could be massively wrong and dreamt about this whole thing while drunk.

I just assumed they were by Kim. they looked great on the large stage in Paris. bit cramped in Dublin but sound was better. Can't have everything I guess.
