the tabula rosa is a crock of shit. the unconscious contains the ancestral memory of every person in your lineage, all the way back to the first human beings. Please bear in mind though that I'm not of the opinion that one can ever possibly "channel" these ancestors, because that also is a crock of shit. maybe one does at the moment of death though which seems to last an eternity.
but this is true: You can take the civilized human & put them in a primitive environment & they will either adapt & get used to it or die because they are either too weak and/or too inept. If you abruptly take the primitive human & put them in civilized society, you cause irrepairable damage to their mental health. |

Yeah. I tend to agree with you... Especially since the genetic material present in humans is a desgin by evolution product that has matured and streamlined over the centuries; and is still evolving...

Well, didn't "Lord of the Flies" say the same damn thing? I really find "Lost" an over-hyped borefest. Sometimes I fee like I'm the only one who thinks this way. |

Yeah I know, I'm just digging it, coz' of the sheer entertainment value and the very human interactions between the characters, they're all very real and interesting.. and the whole mythology/mystery thing is a great hook too...

I be diggin'.....Stereolab - Fab Four Sutures, my summertime mix tape, any song in my cataloque that has "summer" in it I will pull and record, compiling a massive summer music conglomeration. The nice weather, taking walks with the wifey, looking forward to my kid being born, and the thought of another great summer listening to great music.

Haruki Murakami is a genius, it's a shame that he has not written more books. but he's not so old, I guess there will be more.
My favorite work of mr. M Kafka On The Shore Norwegian Wood Hardboiled Wonderland A Wild Sheep Chase Dance, Dance, Dance Also Jens Bjørneboe has been playing with my head lately, he is a great writer, if you find any of his books, just read them rigth away. I know some of them are translated into english. Check out: Jonas Sharks I recently got a collection of shortstories by H.P. Lovecraft, it's called The Thing On the Doorstep, and it's good, really good. Musically speaking, the norwegian-swedish jazzpunk trio The Thing is the best thing that have struck my ears in some while. |

Thinks I'm digging right now:
Bowie Sleep Beer Baths OTC drugs that ease my pain My nephew, he is just such an awesome 2 week old myself (I checked myself out for about 10 minutes last night) Things I'm not digging right now (that I usually do): Food- Everything I eat makes my stomach hurt Sex: I haven't been in the mood to jack off for several days, and the last time I did, it just seemed like a chore. I find women no more sexually interesting than men. I claim that I am 95% hetero, 5% homo, but right now, I am feeling about 1% homo, 1% hetero, 98% nonsexual. I think I'm stressed out because I couldn't obtain the girl of my desires or something. |

I'm really into the Metallic Falcons at the moment after seeing them at ATP... their album is amazingly beautiful, and it's called Desert Doughnuts which are two of my favourite things!... they're kind of like an exotic Fursaxa... if that makes any sense.
Also the new Bardo Pond is pretty cool... and I'm just starting to discover Warmer Milks. I'm currently reading The Gospel Singer by Harry Crews and am really enjoying it... also I have recently discovered the dark pleasures of Figs... much more pleasurable than chocolate imo.
