The first novel I ever read was Jurassic Park when I was 7. I really loved Dinosaurs. I followed that with a slew of other Michael Crichtons mixed in with Star Wars books. What a waste of reading time. I did read a lot of Roald Dahl too, which was awesome. Before novels- Frog and Toad, Dr. Seuss. That sort of stuff. There was a Dr. Seuss about going to bed that I absolutely loved the drawings in, they were so surreal to me at the time. There was a Babar saves Christmas book I used to read a lot. I probably still have it somewhere. My mom wrote something in it to me. I just remember I liked to count the babar santas on the inner cover, and I loved the drawing where you could see a side view of Santa's workshop. I always liked drawings that gave "dollhouse views" as a very young child.

I remember reading Anna Karenina and War and Peace in third grade and really loving them. Now I really hate the latter, and still love Anna.

Does anyone remeber when George Bush got asked what his favorite childhood book was, He replied "The very hungry caterpillar" turns out that book came out whilst he was in college. OWNED!

Maybe my mom was just a big hippie but did anyone ever read The Mountains of Tibet (about reincarnation) or The Bagels are Coming (about making everyone chill out so there can be world peace)? I also loved The Mud Pony.

LoL! Goo-ey, is that a real book? That made me crack the fuck up, not because I'm some racist but because it looks like a genuine cheesy children's book cover, but that CAN'T be real.

i used to love the steve jackson ian livingstone books, warlock of firetop mountain stuff. i had all of them but used to cheat immensly as i never used the dice and would eventually just make sure i was choosing the right turn by reading the best chapter to see if it was right.
