there are a shit ton of new beefheart live videos (some nearly impossible-to-see because it's so fucking dark, but oh well) on youtube. just type in beefheart, arrange by date, and look at the newest ones. a few exciting things.

I really like the video where Don accepts an award and gets the keyboard guy to play a Beatles songs.

Oh yeah, I also heard a rumor that Beefheart and Charles Manson recorded an album together back in the day. This has been "Confirmed" in a few books. I mean, it's just them fucking around on a tape recorder with acoustic guitar, and this is before anyone knew who Manson was. I highly doubt it'll ever see any official release and it's probably garbage anyway but .. CAN YOU IMAGINE?

I can actually see Manson doing a good vocal cover of Frownland.
