I'm looking for a good site that suggests new artists or albums to listen to. It can be a blog or a review site. I'm sick of sifting through pitchfork for one good album out of 50 shitty ones. Thanks.

www.brainwashed.com is the only site I'd go to for new music reviews probably. I don't always agree with them and they seem a bit biased but they cover plenty of good bands.
www.musicwhore.org covers lots of obscure Japanese bands (and some shitty American indie bands) that I love, so I go to them quite often. They've reccomended lots of good stuff to me... mo'some tonebender, mass of the fermenting dregs, vola and the oriental machine, stuff like that. Also, perfect sounds forever and brainwashed are good, though they're not really "review sites", but they do cover endless amounts of amazing good music. That should do you good. |
