Amadeus is my favorite movie. Theatrical and Director's Cut.
I love Mozart and I love that movie. |

Milos Forman made it as my number ten on a top ten list of active directors in a thread from a good while ago, so I do enjoy his work. I was the only person in the thread to mention Milos Forman.
At the time, I remarked that Clint Eastwood barely missed the top ten. Now, in light of Clint's last three movies, it would be Milos barely missing the top ten. |

I saw those. I really liked the 60ies pictures, especially Blonde. People are so kind in that movie, I'm talking about the boy's parents, when the girl comes to them, one night. There's warmth to Forman's pictures - Danny DeVito in Man on the Moon - which is another one I liked a lot. And if my recollections are not biased, there are some cool moments among the patients of the Cuckoo's Nest. What state is the Czech cinema in now? And theatre? Did the fact Havel was your president bring good things for arts? |

well we don't have any good movies nowadays at all.. it's still the same "typical czech tragicomedy" shit. nothing special. well and forman isn't a czech director.. he lives abroad. he hasn't had nothing to do with our culture for a long time. havel influenced our culture (especially alternative culture) very much in lots of ways and i'm really grateful to him for that.. i like him. i've just seen the new forman's movie - the goya's ghosts and i'm pretty confused. i didn't like it much. the story seems really boring to me. |
