what the fuck are those shirtless guys doing, kickin' their foreheads???
weird ass audience. I enjoyed the laidbackerish style of your r&r, sure, the songs could be improved, but hell, the point is to have fun at gigs like that, imo. I think you could pull off a better show with the acoustic guitar, btw.

Yeah, those fools hoppin around made for strange vibes.
It's also worth pointing out that my drummer and I had a little over one week to rehearse for the show. I'm kind of stuck on my electric right now, but acoustics can be used in future shows. That would've been the plan if I had no drummer. I appreciate the constructive criticism this alt couple dancin is the highlight of this photo |

I feel bad talking shit about that band. They're nice dudes. They're like 16 or 17, and they write their own tunes. Which I was not doing when I was their age.
And that's really good. But, really the guy that owns the record store isn't looking to book those types of bands much anymore. The funniest part of all this is, this band was selling T-Shirts! the band that played after me was fucking sick. Car On Fire is their name. They're basically a punkThe set they played sounded much better than the cd of theirs I've got. Overall it was an great experience. |

nicfit- Now that you mention it, I've got a jacked up guitar Ovation acoustic guitar that (tuned to a random custom drone tuning) was used in 90% or the first tape. the action is so jacked it's really only good for harmonics and playing with a slide.. I should slap a pick up in it and use it again..
The next show of mine will be done with a bass player. |
