De nada. It's very catchy indeed: album of the year contender?...lel. It's a good distraction from the racist, QAnon mental break-downs going on in the non-sonic 4chan section.

They sound more like The Cure to me

Ya^ Salome has the same bass stucture as A Strange Day.
I guess it's more evident in the guitar riffage of the last track (padlock) and the skronk towards the end. Obviously SY don't use a drum machine reverbed to hell and back and it's quite prominent so yea. Stylings. |

I can hear the SY pretty clearly. I can also hear Cure, but I also hear some early Cure on Evol, so not entirely mutually exclusive.

I've been listening to it every day and I can't get Padlock out of my head. It's getting to the point of obsession and I'm going to abandon the drum kit I've just bought and record with drum machine samples for the forseeable future.

Right now I'm recording with software drum samples labeled 'real drum' which would defeat the purpose of scrapping my drum kit in favour of a machine if it weren't for the samples sounding nothing like a real kit. The software kit has a very warm Cure/Eternal Dust esque tone especially when the snare is baked in tons of reverb. The fruits of my labour is kind of blowing my mind, sounds nowt like the art-punk I've been making recently. |
