How would I burn a .bin file to a DVD to play it?

Could I get a free trial of Nero and burn it? The instructions in the folder say to use it and my Sonic DVD software doesn't recognize the file.
(The video is the Pixies Austin CIty Limits performance off PBS. All the mpg versions I've downloaded have syncing errors after "Monkey Gone to Heaven", I figure all those versions came from the same person. Ie: same file size)

I have that on a VHS heehe has the brief interview at the end...was a bit disappointed in the performance...not Frank's singing, but specifically, Joey's playing on it.
what program are you using, Sonic Youth 37? I think with Nero, one uses the "Burning Rom" application to burn an .iso image file from .bin and .cue files. |

I have a VCR recorded copy from the last time it was on, but it's about had it. the program is called Sonic. Edit: here is the instructions given in the folder "To burn to disc using Nero just right click on the cue file which will be the smallest of the 2 then choose Open With and browse to your Nero.exe (possibly just called Nero) file. (Located in Program Files / Ahead / Nero folder) Ensure the *Always use the selected program to open this type of file* box is ticked, this way next time all you have to do is double click the cue file and the burning interface will open, now choose which speed you would like to burn your disc at. It's recommended to burn at no more than 8x, if you burn at a faster speed this may impair the quality and make the video pixelated.."

from that. it sounds like you are good to go...
i can't remember the one you actually open, the .bin or the .cue (it's been awhile, but it's the only one that will appear anyway) hope i'm makin sense but, if your current program turns out not to work... the burning rom part of nero is the most basic part. i think you can get a trial version of it...http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...oogle+S earch |

ok, thanks! I found a 15 day trial of Nero on downloads.com. I'm going to download it in the morning and hopefully it will allow me to burn it.

I don't think so.
I have Roxio Toast that came with two of my Macs. It's pretty sucky. I do all my downloading on an XP. |

keep forgetting I have two G4s now...
both are, of course, outdated now...still running OS 9.1, but they do whatever I need them to...all the rest are relatively ancient Mac Power PCs also running 9.1; they can be slow at times... since I don't have OS X, I can't even get a torrent program for the Macs... also, the one burner I had for the Mac went kaput over a year ago... there might be something out there like Nero oh, look http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/307812 people there^ are recommending Toast Titanium 7 the titanium expose hee if you have a torrent program (OS X or better you can get one called "Tomato")... i would just search for that app and download a free copy... |
