Absolutely! Still one of the best, craziest live bands I've ever seen. They used to support the great AC Temple quite a lot in the late 80s as I recall.

I remember once, I think it was in Bradford, the singer came into the audience and spent an entire song screaming the lyrics right in my face. It was hard to know how to react, I was only about 17, but it wasn't done in a bullying way it was just really funny. Then he charged into the toilets with his extra-long mic lead and spent the next ten minutes doing Jimmy Saville impersonations from in there.

I got to meet them a few times and they were a really nice set of blokes. I wonder what they're doing now (I know the singer was a psychiatric nurse at the time).

^^^ The singer (Phil aka P6) is now the frontman for the fantabulous Desalvo, whjose debut LP is coming out soon(ish) on the Rock Action label.

A band I never knowingly saw at the time, but wish I had. They seemed like the eternal support band for about a year, so I must've just though, ahhh, I'll see 'em another time, until the Stretchheads were no-more. There's a lesson in all that. Must be.
