"Eraserhead" is a fucking AWESOME film. I've seen that at least once on the big screen and plenty of times on video. Such a powerful piece of work. Cantanky - nah, you're not weird at all. I suffer from quite rotten insomnia sometimes, and one of my "cures" is to stick on a splatter/exploitation video/DVD, and see how long I can last through that. Jesus Franco films in particular tend to get me to sleep in no time at all, but the Italian "violent police" films never work, as i always like to stay up and watch those to the end.

I'm a big fan of trashy B-movie gore. I recently accidentally caught "Rest Stop" on IFC, and could not help replaying the part where Joey Lawrence gets his brains visibly splattered on the floor behind him, then pops open his eyes and gasps, "Quick! Do it again!" as the shot had failed to do him in.
That's right, Joey Lawrence. Made the viewing totally worth it. |

*claps* Have you seen any of the Lucio Fulci films ("Zombi", "New York Ripper" etc)? They be totally good pieces of schlock.

Zombi! So absurdly gratifying. I'm glad I'm not alone in this fetish. |

The "eyeball" bit is one of my all-time fave moments of exploitation cinema.

I've never understood the appeal of such movies personally. They're a bit boring. The only one that appealed to me even slightly was, Braindead(Dead Alive).

Yes, you are weird. (I say this in the nicest way possible, ofcourse). That is by far and above the scariest film I've ever seen. I don't dare watch it unless I have a warm pretty girl next to me. Even then it's not a pleasant experience. Okay schizo, I found the best, most lasting way to advertise yr mental toughness- put it on yr epitaph.
