I have never heard a Sonic Youth record until I had my hands on a physical copy and it won't be any different this time. (tho I listened to Trees Outside... a bunch of times on luisterpaal online before I purchased the CD)

The point is the SY crew should be "leaking" the album on their own website since there is absolutely no way to stop a general leak in the first place. They need to adapt to the new music market like Radiohead have done.

It's really hard for me to resist listening to songs from a band I love once they've leaked, but whether the album leaks or not, I'll still be buying it. I always seem to end up with two copies of most records, because I get the CD right away and then want the vinyl, too...
