I beat it on the hardest setting.
I'm quite good at Contra. I've beaten all of em without cheats except for the 3D ones and Contra 4 (which I've never played). CONTRA: SHATTERED SOLDIER is so underrated! |

1.) Wind Waker
2.) Ocarina of Time 3.) Link to the Past 4.) Oracle of Ages/Seasons 5.) who cares (I'm in the process of playing Majora's Mask, it might beat out the GBC games, who knows.) |

1. Ocarina of Time
2. Twilight Princess 3. Wind Waker 4. Zelda 2 5. A Link to the Past for me. Could never get into Majora's Mask. Didn't like the time resetting gimmick, and the game only had 4 dungeons. Twilight Princess would been my favorite except it's way too easy. I never got stuck once. Wind Waker would be my favorite except for the stupid part at the end where you HAVE TO see 2 Great Fairies to have enough rupees to pay for Tingle to decipher maps.. 8 maps you have to find.. and then 8 pieces of the Triforce you have to find.. this entire section of the game takes, like, 3 hours to complete and totally slows the momentum of the game down completely. Other than that, it's perfect.. |

Also, since that first one looks so unbelievable, it doesn't surprise me it is fake. I've been told this one is the true artwork:

this is why i like the SY boards in the first place;
the SNES contra game was retitled SUPERPROBOTECTOR in europe and IT KICKED MAJOR FUCKING ASS!!! I was around 11 when I used to play with it all the time with my longtime buddy, and beating it on NORMAL was the GOAL of lives... let alone the HARDEST thing... I recently (2005) got it back on emulators and played the shit out of it but only got around to re-beating it in normal... I should try hardest one more time before I die man! (oh and ZELDA for the SNES kicked supreme ass as well) |

I've never played too much of Zelda II. As a rule, I don't like many NES games in general.. they're difficult just for difficulty's sake, they still keep too much of the arcade mentality. It's like, they're too hard? Compare Contra for the arcade to Contra for the NES. The arcade came first and is a bit easier. The NES is just a bad port because.. well imo the NES sucks. >.>
I like SNES games. It's a nice balance in between hard and easy, so you're always having fun. |

You know what.. I never got this game. I REALLY want it though. I played it at a friends and I've seen it played. It's great. I barely use my N64 mostly because it's in the basement where my brothers live. I should steal the N64 and go to a pawn shop or something. I think I'll do that when the summer begins! Also, I tried to beat TP but my bros have the wii in the basement so I couldnt play it too much.. darn. But oh well. I want my ocarina of time! |

yes, I like it. But it's way too hard. I never made it very far.
