its great, and the one i've probably listened to the most. the only song on it i dont like that much is self obsessed and sexxe, but its still a good song. the others are just brilliant. and in case of the sound engeneering its probably their best record.

nice comparison. both records were more pop-oriented, as opposed to longer jams of murray street. i guess the eternal is pop-oriented too. i wonder what the youth think themselves! |

I'm one of those rare fans who thinks RR is one of their strongest works. I think it's above and beyond Experimental Jet Set, which I think is probably their worst record to my ears. ~Jeremy~

that sig picture is amazing, Satan.
i listened to jet set at work the other night at random and you know, i really love it. it's an oddity, for sure, but i think it works. how can you argue w/ 'winner's blues' 'bull in the heather' 'starfield road' 'skink' 'bone' 'androgynous mind' 'doctor's orders' & 'sweet shine'?! and i just named most of the record... really beautiful guitar tones all over, some great vocals, a lot of really soft songs, which they don't do fairly often, and some quirky weird quick rocker type things...i dunno, i think it's great. as i believe i said earlier, the biggest downfall is no lee song. mostly i just replied to comment on the pony though.

Wrong thread, Rob. They Might Be Giants's thread is on page 79 of non-sonic sounds. You started it, I think.
