The Earl of Slander's advice is very good, I think - hiring a lawyer might seem like a pain in the arse, but it's the difference between getting a modest yet solid deal and a rip-off deal. And indies are certainly no angels at the best of times, when it comes to dealing with bands (yes Some Bizarre, I'm talking to you).
