I've gotta say EVOL. Purely because the best songs on it don't match the best on the others. Great album though.

I love Sister but it's my pick. It took me forever to get into Evol but now its my 3rd favorite(CIS and BMR are unbeatable)

Daydream's my favourite out of the three. I'd always found the other two good, but not as amazing as people say they are. I recently relistened to them both, I like them more than I used to. I think I'll go with Sister, if only because I think EVOL works better as a whole.

I think my main problem with it is that it's so long...and the fact that it's obviously a lot more classic-rock indebted than the ones before it...not that that's a bad thing really, just I prefer the coldness of BMR or the mystery of EVOL. Sister's got it's own thing going that I've never been able to put my finger on.

Yeah, there's definitely parts about it I DO love with all my heart. Just as an entire album, it's difficult to listen to all at once. It's better on vinyl, where it's more spread out. I've never liked the fact that it was issued on CD as one cd, and the same goes for Zen Arcade and ESPECIALLY Double Nickels on the Dime. They don't make sense in that format to me.
That intro to Teenage Riot...the guitar part's always reminded me of the vocal melody to the chorus of The Grassroots' "Live For Today" probably not intentional but I've always heard it.

Yeah, it's definitely Sister. Don't get me wrong, it's still fantastic, but Daydream is pretty much my no questions favourite album of all time, and the only SY album that comes close to challenging it is EVOL. Both of those are as close to perfect as music gets, work better as whole albums, and simply have a tone that I prefer to Sister's. Sister meanwhile always struck me more as an amazing selection of songs that just doesn't hang together as well as a whole work.

Even though I dig it, I went with EVOL on this one. Sister and Daydream are basically my favorite SY albums ever.

Eh, its a hard one. But I always found Daydream Nation somewhat...lacking. EVOL has to be my fave for sure, closely followed by Sister.

depends, if we are talking about EVOL as tom violence thru expressway, then sister is my least favorite. If evol= TV thru bubblegum then evol is the least favorite. why they would put a song after expressway on the cd is beyond me. evol is an amazing album, but expressway is the perfect closing to that album, and bubblegum completely takes you out of the album.
