I'm talking about new stuff. Don't nobody come in this thread and start contesting my terminologies and say that Ike Turner is the real R&B, not Amerie or whatever. Anyone who does that is drooling spastic who likes to get touched by their uncle.
Although I never really buy records of this stuff I every so often there's a song that i think is awesome, such as: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDTibf0qIzw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRLHHAsEbpk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRYDGyWZl4s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuMmfDWMLgY or this which is just fucking brilliant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa1qaAcJG70 post links |

this has just come out and is already maybe my favourite records of the year

Amerie drives me mad. She gets really good guests, like Eve on One Thing, who end up being the only stand out thing about the track. Amerie seems so obsessed with trying to make a Beyonce record that she may as well just cover them. |

that's really great. that amerie song was produced by the same guy who did stuff with beyonce including crazy in love, and i think that One Thing was rejected by Beyonce before Amerie did it. Anyway, a friend sent me a boxset of mixtapes this week and this was one of the tracks on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuHQybUJ8KI |

I'm glad you liked the Goapele track. She hasn't really hit the UK yet and i'm wondering just how popular she'll end up being. either way, i just think that track's incredible. Haha, I never actually knew that One Thing was a Beyonce reject. You can totally see how it's the exact same production team. That Steve Spacek track is great. I'm really into that J Dilla stuff. A lot of it's really simple instrumental loops but genuinely great nonetheless. This is particularly good I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPWWuZFqtWs&NR=1 If you like that, you might also like 9th Wonder's stuff on his own: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmLN_pY-WXs&NR=1 |

Oh, the amerie song's the one I've been hearing on the radio at work but never managed to catch its name. Nice, could've sworn it was beyonce.
