Any records of solo arabic fiddling or available records by Konul Xosiyeva? Preferably Iranian fiddling, but I'm easy G.
I'll just clarify - if you could point me to places where I could buy them I'd be happier than just downloading. I can't be twatted with mp3s, see? Also, my Googling appears to be crap.

I know nothing about arabic music (although it sounds nice), however, I'm fairly decent at google.
almost every search of "Persian fiddling" (only people in Iran seem to call themselves Iranian) brings up Kayhan Kalhor's name as a "master". maybe that's obvious to you. maybe it helps. http://www.amazon.com/Kayhan-Kalhor/e/B000APA4OM |

like solo oud fiddling?
i could have bought you a shitload of cdrs (they are mostly on cdr format because they come from OOP tapes and the venders just rip them and copy them theirselves) from the old city in jerusalem for dirt cheap if i had known like yesterday. but io am flying tomorrow and wont have the time... i could burn you some stuff either when im in england or when im in the states and send it to you on a data disc.... if you are talking about something else then, nevermind....

Herr Fan: Arabic violin I'm talking about - I'll tell you what, I've got a DVD full of Lebanese stuff I could burn/ post in exchange if you like? PM the actual fuck out of me if you'd like.
Herr Slowly: Yeah, I'd noticed Kalhor, but I've fell foul of Google-popularity before. Unfortunately, there's a lot of 'fusion' Arabic music - you know, bit of funky bass, drum machine and an oud. Which is why I was after recommendations rather than relying on Google searches. Dame Robot: Cheers, I'll take a goosies later.

not being a cunt but aren't there world music forums that will provide you with better answers? IHM will probably provide a better answer than this place also.

Not being a cunt at all (unusually), it's a fair point.
